Murfreesboro
Downtown and the historic neighborhoods around the square; the MTSU area; the Blackman community and the west side along Medical Center Parkway; the fast-growing south and east sides along Highway 231 and Highway 96; and the subdivisions off Veterans Parkway.
Around the county
- Smyrna. Established neighborhoods and new subdivisions, with plenty of crawl space and slab homes.
- La Vergne. Close to Nashville, with lots of 1970s-to-2000s housing and newer townhome communities.
- Christiana. South of Murfreesboro: rural lots and new construction.
- Rockvale. One of the county's quickest-growing areas, much of it new construction. Ask about radon-resistant features.
- Eagleville. Southwest county, rural and small-town homes.
- Lascassas and Walter Hill. North and northeast of Murfreesboro, with acreage and older farmhouses.
- Readyville. Eastern edge of the county along the Stones River's East Fork.
